JARED TURNER

Jared Turner was born in New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand on April 12, 1978. His family moved to Sydney, Australia, in 1980. Jared grew up living in the western suburbs of Sydney. Upon returning to New Zealand, Jared was guest cast in the acclaimed NZ comedy-drama, “Outrageous Fortune”, followed by regular appearances in the TV series, “Go Girls.” Shortly after, Jared was cast in one of the lead roles for the international hit show, The Almighty Johnsons (2011), playing "Ty Johnson", the human incarnation of Hod, the Nordic God of all things dark and cold. Jared has since become a well-known figure in New Zealand, appearing on numerous local film and television productions over the last several years. Jared has done numerous amounts of work in the horror genre.
He starred as Xristo, Lucian's right-hand man in "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans." Turner also had a minor role as Aaron in the film, "30 Days of Night". Jared also voiced the Demon Eligos in the television series, "Ash vs. Evil Dead", where he also voiced the Necronomicon, or the 'Book of the Dead' (although this role was uncredited).
Most recently, Jared starred as Slanter in the hit MTV series “The Shannara Chronicles.” Turner also starred as Dr. Sam Collins in the New Zealand soap opera, “Shortland Street”. Jared also starred in the hit Netflix series, “Sweet Tooth”. In what is possibly his most notable role, Jared starred Tarrick/Void Knight, as well as Void King, in the long-running children series, “Power Rangers Dino Fury.” Jared also returned for the limited 10-episode, 30th and final series, “Power Rangers Cosmic Fury”.
