JD Sutphin is an American entrepreneur, musician, and event promoter based in Roanoke, Virginia. He is the founder and president of Big Lick Entertainment, an events and marketing agency established in 2013. Through this company, he has produced numerous events, with approximately 90% benefiting local charities such as the Council of Community Services, Presbyterian Community Center, and NAMI of Roanoke Valley.

In 2023, Sutphin expanded his creative pursuits by contributing as a comic book writer for Boom! Studios' "Power Rangers: Across the Morphin Grid #1" anthology comic.
