Vernon George Wells (born December 31, 1945, in Rushworth, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian actor best known for playing villains in action films.

Before becoming an actor, Wells worked in a quarry and as a salesman. His acting career began in the mid-1970s, appearing in Australian television shows such as Homicide, Matlock Police, and All the Rivers Run.

His breakthrough role came in 1981 when he portrayed Wez, a violent biker gang member, in Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. This performance led to his casting as the main antagonist, Bennett, in the 1985 action film Commando, where he faced off against Arnold Schwarzenegger. That same year, he appeared in the sci-fi comedy Weird Science and later starred in Innerspace (1987).

In the 2000s, Wells gained new recognition for playing the villain Ransik in the TV series Power Rangers Time Force. Throughout his career, he has remained active in film and television, cementing his reputation as a versatile actor in the action genre.
